I ordered two boxes a week ago to take advantage of the great BOGO offer...chose the torpedo. I already own a box of toros, and think they are very good for the money. I think I grabbed the toros for $31 on auction...very deelish when 'on,' but they can be inconsistent, with some sticks no better than bundled crappola. But when they're good, they're great.

Now, to the torps -- only smoked one so far, letting them settle. Can't say I'm impressed by the one I sampled. Kinda bland, burned okay and drew well, but borderline tasteless (like so many posters...oops, wrong forum) and devoid of pleasant aroma. I will try a couple more of the torps...if inconsistency is the problem with these, then other sticks from the first box will be better, I hope.

And what has been the experience of other Utopians with these??

I was turned on to these by a fellow CU'er and have only tried the robustos.  I found them to be very good.  I have picked up some 5'ers of the other sizes on auction but have not tried them yet. 

I've been on to these (quite by accident ) since they first came on the scene, mainly I was buying most anything Nicaraguan & or corojo. Mine are all atleast a year old and smoking well.
